CLASS #15 - Adjusting to a New Santa

August 19, 2025

Selecting a New Santa:

The sad reality is Santa will retire from DFC during a time when your children are older and you wonder how your children are going to handle it. Sadly, as much as I hate humanizing Santa, their lives happen and they cannot stay forever, even if we and they want to. I know how important continuity is to many of you, and the best we can do is hope that you have that throughout your believing years. I will say this: my children (and now grandchildren) meet more Santas than anyone I know, and not once have they questioned who the real Santa is or if he is real altogether. My youngest believed until he was 12, and trust me, he questioned everything and still does. It is all in the way that you handle this for them. If anyone would like to set up a time to have a chat, I will, with each and every one of you to help you on your experience. It is so important to me that everyone adapts and continues to love what we provide here. I believe wholeheartedly in Christmas and in Santa, and I do not want that magic to go away from anyone. Please reach out if you want to talk.

Those of you who like the continuity of visiting the same Santa: I understand your disappointment and I feel terrible. We will do our best to make the transition as seamless as possible.

I would love to hear from you! What did you do to adjust to a new Santa? What did you say to them? How did they react/adjust?
